Presented annually since 2006, the Green Fuels Awards honour pioneers in the development and commercialization of low carbon renewable fuels such as ethanol and biodiesel in Canada. Award winners are nominated and selected by the members of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association.

Green Fuels Industry Award
- Kevin Norton, Chief Executive Officer of BIOX CorporationKevin Norton co-founded BIOX Corporation in September 2000 and has served as its Chief Executive Officer since 2011. Mr. Norton has extensive experience in pollution control and marine systems, municipal/industrial water and wastewater systems and marine environments. He served as an Officer in the Canadian Forces (Navy) for thirteen years and received his degree in mechanical engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada.CRFA President W. Scott Thurlow said, “Mr. Norton’s contributions to advancing Canadian biofuels are a benchmark for our industry. This award celebrates outstanding dedication to the advancement of renewable fuels in Canada and it’s an honour to have such an accomplished and respected recipient.”
