OTTAWA, Ontario, June 25, 2013 – The Canadian Renewable Fuels Association today congratulated waste-to-biofuels renewable chemicals leader Enerkem Inc. on the announcement of $50 million in financing. As part of this financing, institutional fund Investissement Québec joined Enerkem’s existing investors and became a strategic investor in the company. This partnership will help build and strengthen capacity for domestic renewable fuels production and will result in meaningful environmental benefits.
