Indy Cars in Edmonton race to use 100% ethanol fuel this weekend

OTTAWA, ON: On the eve of the Indy Car race in Edmonton, the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association (CRFA) today applauded the IndyCar Series and their use of 100% ethanol as fuel in their race cars.

“Ethanol is a clean-burning renewable fuel,” said CRFA chair Jeff Passmore. “Seeing these Indy Cars driving over 230 miles per hour (380 km/h) on 100% ethanol proves the high-quality performance of the fuel. Ethanol is being made in Canada today, it is viable, and becoming more accessible for all drivers.”
