2009 Canadian Renewable Fuel Pioneers Honoured

ANCOUVER: The Canadian Renewable Fuels Association is pleased to announce the 2009 Green Fuels Award Recipients. The awards honour pioneers in the development and commercialization of low carbon renewable fuels such as ethanol and biodiesel in Canada. The awards were presented at the 6th Annual Canadian Renewable Fuels summit in Vancouver. Awards announced today were:

The New Producer Award 2009

North West Bio-Energy started producing ethanol at the farmer owned 25 million litre North West Terminal in Saskatchewan. The plant will also produce 71 tonnes of distillers grain for feed per day.
