DuPont has evolved since 1802 – from a gunpowder mill in Delaware to an integrated Science company. Throughout our history, we have always drawn on our scientific expertise to create innovative solutions for customers. From gunpowder to nylon, to DuPont™ Kevlar® aramid fibers, and Rynaxypyr® insect control, science-based solutions have driven growth and given us a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Today, our core technologies – biology, chemistry, materials science and engineering – uniquely position us to address the needs of large, secular growth markets. And our science is helping to solve global problems such as providing safer and more nutritious food, reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and protecting people and the environment. We look forward to what a third century of science and innovation can do.
